Most of the government offices, banks and shopping areas as well as the connection to Zanzibar are within walking distance. Founded in 1992 with an emphasis to provide warm and authentic Tanzania Hospitality which is rarely found elsewhere.
Rooms:
Each of our 81 luxurious guest rooms including 45 exquisitely furnished executive double rooms are spacious and tastefully appointed, designed with your total comfort in mind.. All the rooms are en-suite with international telephone service. Each room has individually controlled air conditioning, which you must have for your sleeping comfort during our hot and humid summers.
In the rooms you will have a writing desk with chair. The lamps on the bedside table and the writing desk will provide sufficient lighting for those who want to write or read in their rooms. Some rooms include a mini bar.
All guests rooms have satellite TV to make sure that you remain connected to events happening around the globe while taking residence at the Peacock Hotel. The recently upgraded hotel satellite television feed now carries several domestic and international TV channels

Beautifully furnished in tropical style, New Tausi restaurant is a choice of fine dining which boasts a sophisticated, yet lively, atmosphere. We present buffet-style breakfasts, lunches and dinners, with a range of both international and local cuisines. Meals served in the restaurant include Pasta, seafood, steaks, roast beef, chicken and fresh salads.
Kasuku bar and restaurant:
After a busy day there's no better place to relax and unwind while enjoying fine wine or an ice cold beer with friends or clients than the Kasuku bar and restaurant. Kasuku Bar and Restaurant is a contemporary and stylish hotel bar offering a selection of drinks and light meals throughout the day, a favourite rendezvous for locals and guests alike.
Conference Facilities:
Meeting, Conference and Banqueting facilities are available for up to 60 persons on both ground and 7th floor. Full AV equipments are on hand to sustain any delegate requirement. Peacock hotel has two fully-fledged state of the art conference halls namely Nightingale and Flamingo
